Hi, I am a final year EPSRC funded PhD candidate in the School of Mathematics at the University of Leeds, supervised by Professor Paul Martin and Professor Frank Nijhoff.
Broadly speaking, I am interested in algebraic structures which appear at the interface between mathematical physics (espeically lattice models in statistical mechanics and topological quantum systems), low-dimensional topology and representation theory. I enjoy solving problems in algebra and topology by homological and combinatorial methods and like to program using various software, such as python and mathematica, to perform and manage large calculations.
Previously, I have studied integrability (mostly solvability in lattice models) through the lense of the Yang-Baxter equation and related algebraic structures such as quantum groups. During this I developed a fondness for special functions :).
I completed a BSc (with first class honours) at the Australian National University in December 2021. My honours thesis was supervised by Professor Vladimir Mangazeev.
